Two people were found shot to death Tuesday in what Henderson police are calling a murder-suicide.

Police responded to a welfare check request around 10:30 a.m. for a residence in the 2000 block of Tiger Links Drive, near West Horizon Ridge and Sunridge Heights parkways, according to a Henderson Police Department release.

Officers entered the home to find the bodies of the elderly couple. Detectives said they believe the man fatally shot the woman before turning the firearm on himself.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation.

The names of the victims, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office after next of kin notifications.
