Bottom is in.
The Devil on Wall Street
“Buy!” he boldly cries, While fortunes bleed before our eyes. A numbskull crowned with false prestige, Who bends the market to his greed.
Look into his eyes, and tell me true. Is there a soul still looking through? A hollow stare, a vacant grin, A man whose darkness dwells within.
Once a man, now a shadow cast, A fading ghost of a life long past. An empty shell in a tailored suit, With nothing human at the root.
Does evil wear a human face? Does greed consume all left of grace? Or did he strike a deal below, And trade his soul for stocks to flow?
He pulls the strings, he twists the trade, While fortunes rise and dreams decay. The candles flicker, the red lines fall, And he stands grinning above it all.
So heed the silence behind his eyes, Where something dark and nameless lies. For when a man sells his soul for gold, He gains the world and loses his own.
