went to Normetals the other day dropping off a small load from clearing out a garage and i kinda expected it to just be “metal in, sorted, done” but after standing there a bit it actually reminded me of donation places, like those charity bins or thrift store back rooms where you think its just clothes and furniture but theres always random boxes of stuff you really werent expecting mixed in same vibe here, kind of?? except its metal, old wiring still half insulated, broken tools, bits of machinery, random car parts, stuff from sheds and renos all kind of ending up in the same flow before being sorted properly it just made me think there MUST be some wild stuff that turns up day to day that people outside the industry never really see so if you work in a scrap yard whats the weirdest or most unexpected thing youve had show up that wasnt just normal scrap submitted by /u/Infamous-Duty7332 [link] [comments]
