The Maharashtra government will step up scrutiny of bike taxi aggregators such as Ola, Uber and Rapido, with Regional Transport Office (RTO) officials being directed to routinely verify drivers’ backgrounds, permits and commercial licences, among other documents, days after Tiger Shroff firing case .
