Story time, skip if you dont need so much context: I already built the pc and right now I have a 2TB ssd. I am downloading some of the opensource models and they can be pretty large. Plus i have a bunch of external HDDs whose age range last anywhere from 4-11 years now. And many of those have got photos and videos from my life, and Idk when they might fail. I also like to keep my games downloaded to a backup. So thinking of getting a high capacity reliable HDD that works for both use cases and will be in the PC.

I will setup a NAS later. Given hardware shortage and uncertainty of when or if the AI bubble pops, I would like to get a HDD that will last me some time.…
