Hello! I am seeking advice on my resume overall, but I have two main questions.

Should my skills section be at the top? Is it taking up too much room? Is there too much info in it? Should it even be on the resume at all?

Because I am trying to transition from software engineering and other non related work titles to a business analyst (or similar) title, should I include a professional summary somewhere on the resume? I've never made a CV before because I was told no one looks at them. Should I make a CV? Basically should I have anywhere on my resume a brief blurb about me trying to transition roles?

For some background: I have long since wanted to transition into a business analyst type role and move away from software engineering. I have sent out nearly 50 applications since September 30th (about 11 applications a week) where I was tailoring my resume to each application.…
