A $100 million lawsuit against Moneybagg Yo and Roc Nation by a woman claiming to be his former manager is set for trial this fall. The suit, now going to trial in October, was filed in 2019 by Sherry Jackson-Floyd, a Mississippi woman who says she met the rapper a decade ago while she was working at Bank of America, befriended him due to her financial expertise, and became both his personal and business manager, with a promise that she would end up with one-third of his earnings once he became successful. In the complaint, viewed by Complex, Jackson-Floyd says that she worked tirelessly to rehabilitate the rapper’s image after incidents of violence involving the rapper and his entourage (including the Nov. 2016 incident where a woman was killed at one of his concerts), and spent her own money to help provide him with the “fancy cars, flashy jewelry, and other means of demonstrating a lifestyle filled with luxury” needed to paint a picture of him as a top artist.…
