Abu Dhabi: There is a piece of the Moon in Abu Dhabi that you are allowed to touch.

It lies in the Story of Earth gallery in The Natural History Museum, and a short text beside it explains that it was thrown off the lunar surface by an asteroid, drawn towards Earth by gravity, and set down in the Libyan desert, where it rested for a very long time before anyone understood what it was.

Only in 2024 was its origin established.…
