Tech and fitness brand Strava recently announced that it’s partnered with Google to bring Gemini connectivity to its software , which essentially lets users connect their activity data directly to the AI assistant for personalized training insights.
The new feature is optional, and Strava promises that Gemini will only give feedback based on whatever information and fitness data a users opts to share. This feedback includes contextual analysis based on Strava history, reducing the need to manually scroll through months of logs. Users can ask Gemini complex performance questions, such as how their speed relates to heart rate over time, in-depth breakdowns of recent races, and cross-reference how strength training impacts their running metrics, to name a few.
Strava adds that it’s been working on allowing users to compare personal records across different training and event sessions, analyze weather impacts such as heat and humidity on long runs, and track current and longest workout streaks by sport.
