I’ve been a PlayStation gamer for about five years now. Started with a PS4 Pro and eventually upgraded to a PS5.
Until a couple of months ago, I had absolutely no idea that you could borrow PlayStation games from public libraries. And honestly, I’m still surprised by how good their collections are.
I’m in the Bay Area, and the libraries around Santa Clara, Milpitas, and San Jose have a surprisingly solid selection of PS4 and PS5 games, including some pretty big titles.
Meanwhile, we’ve been spending $60–$70 on games, waiting for PS Store sales, and paying for PS Plus when we could literally borrow games for free with a library card.
Maybe I’m just late to the party, but I feel like this is something nobody talks about enough.
**Am I the only one who discovered this ridiculously late? Do you guys actually borrow games from your local libraries, or are we collectively sleeping on this?**
