Meghan Markle reportedly delivered a devastating message to her estranged father while he was hospitalized last December: She knew about allegations that he had sexually abused children, and because of that, he would never meet his grandchildren.

According to CBS News , the Duchess of Sussex confronted Thomas Markle Sr. in a December 2025 letter delivered to his hospital bed in the United States. The correspondence reportedly came six years after Meghan first learned of disturbing allegations involving her father.

The letter allegedly informed Thomas Sr., 82, that Meghan and authorities "knew he had abused young girls." It also made clear that Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, would have no contact with their grandfather.
