If you're shopping for a used laptop in the UAE, two names come up again and again: Lenovo ThinkPad and Apple MacBook. Both are popular, both hold their value well — but they serve very different kinds of buyers.

At Variety Smart Computer in Abu Dhabi, we sell both. So here's our honest take on which one makes more sense for you.

🏗️ Build Quality: Both Are Excellent, But Different

ThinkPads are built like tanks. The classic matte black chassis, reinforced hinges, and MIL-SPEC durability ratings mean these machines survive years of daily abuse. Drop it in a bag, travel with it every day — it holds up.

MacBooks are sleek and premium. The aluminum unibody feels luxurious, and the build quality is genuinely impressive. But they're more sensitive to bumps and drops compared to a ThinkPad.

Winner for durability: ThinkPad

Winner for aesthetics: MacBook
