A short reflection on giving myself permission to make mistakes, and to let go of AI

Sometimes my sentences aren’t necessarily in the ‘correct’ order. And, yep, sometimes there will be an extra word that probably didn’t need to be there, with likely a ‘better’, more ‘conventional’ way to structure a sentence than what I’ve written.

But I write the way I think, the way I talk.

To me, it’s my norm. I’m a late-diagnosed AuDHD’er, maybe that has something to do with it. Or maybe not. I’m still learning.

People might think I’m a bad writer, maybe they’ll even have a fleeting thought that I’m uneducated. Who knows. It’s not my business what they think, really. Perhaps I have those thoughts on what others might think because it’s a reflection of my own thoughts and beliefs.

I can usually articulate things well, often using metaphors to help me with understanding and processing experiences.…
