Have any of you watched a film so powerful to you, it's made you take an intentional break from watching other movies?

So, I've seen/tracked over 3,000 films since I was twelve. Only recently, upon seeing Ken Russell's The Devils (2026 4K restoration), I'm just in total awe and - even as an independent filmmaker, actively working on a project - I'm frozen.

I'm not frustrated with this frozen feeling exactly, but I don't think I've ever been this profoundly inspired and moved by a film to this degree. I planned to see other new movies this week, and I recently ordered some favorites during the Criterion 50% off sale yesterday, but wow. I currently feel like I'll unfairly/unconsciously compare everything to it.

I just can't wait for The Devils to get a physical media release.

For those who have felt this way, what movie put you in this state?
