I've been selling gear and saving up to buy a new synthesizer. Initially i was 100% set on the Solar 42, as it truly is a magical beast, but after months of listening to the available material on youtube, the reality hit me that, although it is a fantastic synth for experimentation, most owners seem to say that they have a hard time creating coherent music on the device, and instead use it for exploration and as a form of musical therapy.

I usually make electronic, melodic music, with lots of harmonies and a lot of rythm. I want to be able to dance to my own music. So I instead realized that the Super 6, with its warm, buzzing filters, and deep modulation possibilities, probably will suit my needs much better.…
