He's had these tiny leaves the whole October and nothing else, but even if he already sprouted out two new baby shoots, I'm just super worried he'd eventually die.

Note that this October it hasn't rained that much so most of the day it was hot and humidity was low. When my tree's two tiny leaves here used to be red I left him by the windowsill only to realize two days later it's still been the same but turned green. These leaves eventually burned when I gave the tree sunlight, and knowning the weather is dry I had to put a bottle on top of this tree. I even separated the tree from morning sunlight rays to see what it could do. (Not sure about those baby buds.…
