I’m posting this cause I’m really happy to where I got. It’s my first Chopin etude. It’s been 3 months and even though I’ve had reasonable expectations for tempo since the beginning, there were honestly multiple times where I thought I might’ve aimed too high. Haven’t given up with the encouragements of my teacher telling me it’s going really well during the whole process.
Now I’m like ok, my initial plan was to finish it by the end of the semester which leaves me plenty of time to get the last bits to fast tempo (i. e. the section right after the forte arppegios, the end of the section with the melody from the thumbs, and the last half page), to pick a realistic tempo for the whole piece, polish evenness, pedaling, dynamics, voicing, phrasing, balance, and implement clear interpretational choices.
It might be too early for critique, but any advice (and critique if relevant to this stage) is welcome!
