Hello roofers,
Just wondering if you could give me some advice on patching this hole on my roof. That gap is where the slates meet the lead verge on the gable end of my roof.
That angle change is the last course of slates where the angle changes slightly before the gutter. Driving rain is blowing into the gap and running down the internal gable end wall.
The roof is on a Grade II listed building in the Scottish Highlands, and is of traditional build: sarking boards, membrane, then local slates copper nailed straight into the sarking boards. The rest of the roof is in great condition with no issues, so looking for a patch fix. What does everybody recommend - Plug with some broken slates? Little piece of lead?
