Subnautica 2, a game so popular its original publisher will never forgive it , is gearing up for the next phase of its early access existence. In the first of a new vlog series, creative director Anthony Gallegos said that the game is preparing to move into "early access 2.0," which Unknown Worlds is calling its "most substantial update" since the game hit last May.

"EA 2, as we call it, is going to be an update that adds not only a complete new playable region with several new biomes within it, but it's also going to add a lot of new story elements," said Gallegos. That means more tales of the good ship Cicada's colonists and the game's "other beings." There will also be new creatures for you to not kill .
