I had an herb garden this year that did exceptionally well. I know that some won’t come back next year, and some will.

Simply out of curiosity, if I wanted to try to keep every herb and have it come back next year, what would be my move?

I know keeping basil over winter is a longshot, but I figured why not give it a try at least once to say I did.
