For whatever reason, my husband got a box of sunchoke tubers delivered, which he presented to me with too much enthusiasm and a "You can go plant these!"
I've never grown these things and barely knew what they were, so I googled, and got conflicting answers, as one does. Naturally, I came here next.
So, gardeners. Do I stick these things in the fridge until spring? Do I plant them now like bulbs? (Zone 8, fall is falling, cool nights, warm days, and fairly dry weather still). Do I clump them like daffys and tulips or do they need to be spread out more? Do they have specific soil needs?
Hoping someone familiar with sunchokes can advise, thanks all.
