Tom's Guide Verdict
The Sensate is a consumer focused vagus nerve stimulator that offers a non pharmaceutical solution to daily stress. Sitting on the sternum, it sends electrical pulses along the vagus nerve, which, during times of stress, is designed to take you out of 'fight or flight' mode. It almost feels like a cat purring away on your chest, accompanied by a soothing soundscape that lulls you into relaxation. There are ways of stimulating your vagus nerve for free, making it tough to justify a $299/£299 gadget. However, I tried the Sensate for a week and noticed a marked reduction in my stress levels and 3 a.m. wake ups. Is it worth it?…
