Share your tips to manage anxiety
Opinion / Thoughts
Maybe this isn’t gonna help anyone, but since I started going to therapy about 4 months ago, I’ve learned a few things to manage my own anxiety that might also help you?
i would say the first thing is to recognize what makes you anxious and try your best to “prevent” things that are anxiety-inducing for you.
For me, it’s not having enough time or breaks between anything (my life is very demanding; I work 2 jobs and go to school).
Breathing/yoga? Especially diaphragmatic breathing.
These can be done at home, especially during stressful times. I would say it’s very grounding.
I start off by exhaling fast, and as I exhale more slowly, it actually feels like the anxiety, stress, and tension are leaving my body.
I listen to rain sounds. They help me focus a lot when I’m studying, and overall, rain is very calming.
Avoid sad music/heavy emotional things like true crime.…
